Having known Tony for many years, and followed his career, I was shocked like everyone else at his passing. We can all take comfort in the fact that like Neil Bonnet, Adam Petty, Kenny Irwin Jr., John Nemechek, and others, they went out doing what they loved. I personally knew all of these guys except Kenny. And I can tell you, they knew when they strapped in, anything could happen. They also knew however, that if it did, it was mostly out of their hands. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Michelle, Dean, Marilyn, and the rest of the Roper family. Godspeed Tony.
